It’s been a slow couple of days for Things, but I’ve gotten a lot of other projects done.
I drew up the plans for this several weeks ago and finally finished it. It has a pocket for my Kindle, phone and miscellaneous items.
I’ve seen a couple of blogs posts recently with really simple shirt patterns. The attractive thing about them for me is that they are light and loose — perfect for hot summer days. They don’t look very good on my ugly dress form. They don’t look that great on me, come to think of it. But they are super comfortable and I love them.
Both patterns come from One Avian Daemon.
The color of the first one, while probably technically good for me, is pretty close to being my least favorite color in the world for clothing, but it was the only color available and the fabric was too lovely to pass up.
Here’s the second pattern and shirt.
A year or so ago, I bought this enormous hemp golf shirt for Neil. It’s way too big for him, but every time I pick it up to put it in the “donate pile,” I fall in love with the feel of it. The hemp fabric is thick and soft and just amazing. So, I turned it into a dress for myself. It’s not quite ready. The arm holes aren’t quite even. But it’s close. I should have ironed it or washed and dried it to get the wrinkles out. Oops.
Finally, I have one more sparkly to add to the collection.
